“Worried about throwing off too much light when trying to sleep. Is dimmer switch (listed in user manual) only while you press the button, or can you adjust the display's brightness down so as to throw off less light in a darkened bedroom while sleeping?”

Hi. I appreciate you sharing your inquiry with us. The dimmer switch on this Alarm Clock works only while your are holding the button. The unit does not have a set up to adjust the brightness of the display. Alexander G. - Insignia Support
