“Can it run on batteries only, and if not do you have a clock radio that only runs on batteries?”

• The batteries are for backup. When on battery, the time display goes out, but keeps the time and alarms and settings. Therefore, it is not useful to run on batteries only.

• Yes., it ran on batteries. We had a power outage of over an hour and the battery backup kept the time. I did not play the radio though nor used the alarm then.
