“Can I use this device to capture an internal signal in my building that is sent through coax and use this to transmit it to a projector? So could I select a channel(like an input) on here to view and internal feed at my school or does I need an antenna?”

Hello jeremysw7, you can use it the way you like as long as the coaxial that provides the signal is plugged into the converter box, otherwise you will need an antenna to get an antenna. Omar S. - Insignia Support.
