No, because this is not an HDMI extender but a conversion tool to go from a DisplayPort to an HDMI. Sounds like you would need an HDMI to HDMI extender/adapter.

If your tv has a display port port then this should work although there are hdmi extensions made for this purpose.

You need and HDMI female to HDMI male cable to extend unless you are wanting to plug your firestick into a display port. A display port does look different than an HDMI port so make sure you are choosing the right port.
