• It will work in any laptop with an HDMI port. If yours is so equipped, it will work just fine.

• If the Dell has a Display Port then yes most certainly. Display port are universal, they are not brand dependent.

• I believe if you have a DisplayPort it should work ok unless the port is damaged. If connected and it seems as if it is not responding check your input source on the external device and ensure HDMI is selected. Likewise, on your laptop you can try the Windows Key + P on your keyboard and select to either duplicate or extend your screen. Hope that helps.

• Not verified in actual use, but it works great on a Lenovo, and Dell builds to industry specs, so I would try it, these devices work great. and I got a Dell monitor plugged into it. hope this helps
