“I plugged the DP side into my graphics card, attached my HDMI cable into the adapter then into my monitor but my computer doesn't recognize anything being plugged in. Tested a different DP adapter and my computer detects it. Bad DP to HDMI adapter??”

Some computer has problems detecting a monitoring is plugged in. This is especially an issue with ChromeBox and ChromeBook.
