All previous answers only address how to set the clock. They didnt read the question. The answer is you can't. You cannot make the colon in the middle of the clock stop blinking. Ever.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Press the clock button as if you were going to set the clock - let it blink hour, press again, let it blink minutes, press again and now it is one steady. I have to do this each morning when I plug it back into the AC power source.

You have 2 ways to do this: Manually, or the easier way: dock your ipod/iphone (listen to the charging sound and look at your screen for the battery symbol) and press the clock button on the speakers. I believe it says SYNC as well on the button (but I'm not 100% sure). When you press that, it syncs the ipod/iphone time with your alarm clock and then you can remove the ipod/iphone. Voilá!
