• Android updates are a part of the operating system. This tablet allows you to either manually or automatically install updates as they become available. The problem with technology is that sometimes it advancing so quickly the devices become obsolete before you would expect. Whether it will run 6.0 depends on the new operating systems requirements.

• From what I could research on the internet there are no current plans for Insignia OS updates. Only certain brand android devices will receive updates like Nexus. Because of the open platform in programming for android OS according to one article I read, it makes it difficult for the software giant to update all brands of android devices.
