• I bought this adapter yesterday 9/2/2016. YES THIS WORKS WITH CHROMECAST 100% I immediately tested this with my chromecast as I am using it to connect to a workout TV on a treadmill (not enough space for the Chromecast itself. It worked flawlessly. Not a single problem happened. The answer that stated it will not work is completely false. This will work with Chromecast and all devices. It is just an extender. However remember that if you have more than 50 feet of cable, you may begin to suffer from signal degradation. Other than that this will 100% work fine with your devices (as long as the cable does not malfunction or your device does not malfunction) and my cable worked perfectly out of the box.

• I've tried it with an old version Chromecast. Worked just as well as the super short cable it came with.
