Most tvs with an HDMI port have more than one. I learned the hard way that there are usually sets of ports in more than one spot on the back of a tv. What other ports does it have? USB? You can get a USB port with a USB cable coming out.. you plug the stick into the usb port and the cable into the usb port on the tv. I got one for my computer because the laptop only had one USB port and I have needed more. Basically, if you have good tech that works well that requires RCA or uses it, it's not bad to have this converter... it may come in handy... seems like it ought to work (and if it doesn't work directly you can use it as part of a "daisy chain" from your computer to the tv... with the stick plugging into your computer. Maybe not your long-term solution but okay in a pinch.
