“I bought this HDMI to VGA Adapter and my monitor just stays on self test. I notice it has a "power" port but I don't see any power cord and I'm not sure if that's the issue. can anyone help? It's an old Dell VGA monitor”

• I use this HDMI to VGA adapter with my dell now and it works perfectly. You might have to give your dell a software update.

• I'm guessing it is. I used it to connect to a monitor that was also connected to another PC. The monitor would not come on unless the other PC was on.
