“I use this adapter with an old hp monitor and I hooked it up to my ps3. It worked for a while, but now the monitor says theres no input when I turn on the ps3. I tried plugging into the power port on the adapter but that didn't do anything. PLEASE HELP!”

Take your PS3 into the Geek Squad and have them check if another (new) adapter works (i.e. yours burned out for some reason) or if plugging to a different monitor makes a difference (VGA cables get flakey over time).
