“I have a new Apple laptop that I want to connect to an old VGA monitor. This worked on my MS Desktop CB9HQJ0 using Insignia 20E11T but the Apple device has a different USB outlet. What is that type USB connector so I can order it from Best Buy?”

• This isn't a USB to VGA adapter. It is a HDMI. LIke if you hook your laptop up to the TV, you use an HDMI cord. If your laptop has that HDMI output, but you are using an old monitor that needs a VGA port, this will let the new laptop work with the old monitor.

• This is not a usb, this is HDMI to VGA. If your Apple has a HDMI output (most laptops do) then this should work great.
