• Yes we used it on a gaming pc that only had hdmi till the new monitor is shipped. Its also a older monitor but the screen quality is great

• I use this to connect a macbook 12” (2015) to a HP monitor (only vga input) and worked fine, also worked using a 4 port HDMI switch
