• It should. No different than selecting your computer as input for the projector. I would expect it to be the same as your tv.

• I have only used the device to connect my laptop to a projector with a VGA input. However, if your Roku has an HDMI output and your projector has a VGA input, it should work. BTW, this device also has an audio output jack similar to those used for headphones that you can connect to your sound system.
