8 ounces or less I would say! It's very light! The material is the cloth like back backs, duffle bags, & some suitcases are made out of it! It also has a padding inside under the other material! It's made for a 15.6 inch screen computer! It has 11 pockets all together! All but 2 are Zippered in!

It is made of a heavy duty cloth-like material and is very durable. The weight comes from the computer and the additional items you choose to carry.
