The lens cap holder is usually used for the front lens cap. Very rarely it is used for the back lens cap.

The lense covers for a brand lense can come in pairs for storage, especially in a backpacking situation. These are the only generics that I found on Best Buy. Many others elsewhere per brand/lense. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The cover for the front will require a pinching of opposing sections within the cap. The rear cover fits over the entire rear of the lens and just sort of snaps on without any real movement of the cover. As such it is usually just a single piece of plastic. I have never seen a rear cover for sale, but I've never looked for one either.
