• Yes. The biggest bottleneck I've found was from the software to do the cloning. Samsung offers a free software to use, but recommends you use it with Samsung drives primarily. Many other options exist, but require you to pay or sign up for a trial to use.

• Yes! Use a tool like CloneZilla and select the M.2 NVMe as the destination drive!

• I haven't done this but I see no reason it can't be done. I have cloned numerous drives to larger drives of the same type.
