I am not familiar with the Altec Lansing speaker. More so, I am not sure what size inputs there are 1/8 or 1/4) in your Altec speaker. Yes, you can connect your computer speakers with an outside speaker if you use the proper size jack adapters. Most all computer jacks are 1/8 (3.5mm)
