Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the mini display and thunderbolt are the same type of port. It is not like a difference of USB-C to USB-A where the port is different. You can use a mini port accessory in a thunderbolt port if you upgrade laptops.

This can be daisy chain if you are connecting another monitor in and out again to the second monitor or a external drive. The thunderbolt looks like a smaller USB but the plug will only go one way, one of the ends is cornered and the other is rounded. yes, you can put the other end the same, theres no gender on this thing
