I use it to connect my Surface Pro 2 to a 50" Samsung 4K UHD TV as my monitor. It works and allows me using it as a monitor at 4K resolution at 30 Hz (the highest refresh rate Surface Pro 2 supports at 4K resolution) with occasional seemingly random blackouts for a second or two. I assume this is probably due to stretched resources on Surface Pro 2's part to support this high resolution, as I believe its memory capacity is shared with the graphic/video circuitry. I really enjoy being able to use this 50" TV as a large extra-high resolution monitor though (you can open tons of apps without sacrificing size or resolution) and just tolerate the occasional short black outs, but I can see this being a problem for big time gamers. Hope this is helpful.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You probably need to lower your resolution example 2100 to 1700 play with it to get the highest resolution possible without interference
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine works great with apple Mac-Air. It may not be compatible with the Microsoft port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Works perfectly with my MacBook Pro. Maybe you have a bad one or there is an issue with the Surface and video mirroring.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My Mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI Adapter worked for me
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also bought this cable for use with a Surface. No problems. I suggest you take the cable and your Surface to the Best Buy location and demonstrate the problem you're having. They are great people to deal with. I've had very few problems and never one that wasn't resolved.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I posted the question and, to be clear, the quality issue of which I speak is not with the Surface Pro but the Insignia device. I have since bought a competitor device and it works fine, confirming the Best Buy/Insignia product is bad. I would not recommend anyone buy this, as quality matters in this instance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You are probably correct. Normally missing colors or specific errors like you describe are the result of weak connections. I would return it and hope that's all it is. If another adapter has the same problem, than likely it may be the output on your Surface. I've had no issues with this and opted for the Apple product just because like Microsoft, they tend to sweat the details on their hardware. I have used mine on multiple monitors/TV's with zero problems. I hope you just got a bad one and an exchange solves your problem. Much easier to swap the dongle than to exchange the Surface!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You are right. The surface pro is of low quality.
