• this will not interfere with your satellite service. You hook it up to a different port on your tv, and then it will pick up local channels. That may save you some money if direct TV charges you monthly for local channels.

• if the TV can handle BOTH inputs then it will WORK

• Jan We have DirecTV, have to use this for Fox channel football. In Columbia Falls and have to point it towards Black Tail mountain for the bouncer. Your TV should have a setting for Digital antenna, it needs to find the signal for the signal by using channel tuning.

• Hi Jan. This is an over-the-air antenna, it is made to pick up your local stations. It uses your coaxial port on the back of the TV.
