Unfortunately, many of the newer TVs no longer feature RCA connectors, the little round red and white inputs common to vintage sound equipment. But such newer models do have digital optical outputs, which can generally produce a better connection than the older RCA connectors. To connect an older soundbar (with RCA inputs) you will need something like the Insignia Digital to Analog Converter, which, when connected from the TV with an Optical Audio Digital Toslink Cable and then from the Converter with a standard two wire (male red and white connector) RCA connector to the Soundbar will provide a viable connection. Make sure the two cables (Toslink and RCA cord) are long enough to reach from the TV to the Converter and then to the Soundbar, which in most cases will not be too lengthy. Also, expect better quality if you purchase better quality cables. The standard cheapo cords that are often included with big box store stereo equipment will do the job, but you may get improved sound for a few dollars more expenditure. Hope that helps.
