“can i watch youtube in my samsung 55nu7090 and an old sony hometheater with this? my tv only has optical sound so might need this one. also heard from others that youtube is not compatible with this. hope u can anwer my question. thanks”

Hi. TV usually have Optical OUT. This device converts this optical into RCA (Red and White) OUTS. If your Home Theater have RCA INS, you should be able to get sound from the Youtube to the home theater. Charles V. - Insignia Support https://www.insigniaproducts.com/contact-us
