No it doesn’t have a amplifier. I bought this because is better then any powered amplified indoor antenna. I’m sure you can boost the signal if you add a powered amplifier. I know that Channel Master sells things to clean the signal and amplify the signal. But for me this is all I needed without anything else and it works fine. Note : if you look up online which way to point your antenna, base on you location zip code . That will help you find the best possible position for your area. We get about 54 channels . I also bought a Channel Master Stream + , which works great and maybe I’ll try a Tablo Duel or Quad, that would be my next choice. Good luck and I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it is not a powered amplifier. This antenna is serving 5 TVs in my home without an amplifier.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no amplifier that I can see on the antenna. On the box it states, "Ultra-sensitive design pulls in weak or difficult signals without the need for amplifiers or other electronics." So they took some liberty with the technical specifications. However, my stations all are about 30 miles away, I am luck that they are all in the same general direction, and they all come in great. But it doesn't work very good at all in the attic, it is an outside antenna. Buy it, try it, and either keep it or take it back. Good Luck!
