“i have an insignia tv and when i plug these in i cannot hear on both earphones and the tv. One person needs earphones, the other doesn’t. How do i set this up for both to hear?”

Plugging into the headphone jack will mute the tv speakers. I plug into the cable box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Generally you cannot use both the headphone and still hear the television. The only way that this might work is if you were able to plug in to your cable box for the headphones and that is a maybe, no definite possibility.
