“Does it go into standby mode after a while and thus missing the first few seconds of audio upon waking up? I'm looking for a speaker that does not have any power management feature and would stay on 24/7 if plugged in.”

You will not be disappointed..It's a great buy for the money..You can plug in and leave it or unplug . It's a take along speaker ...
