“I use this at work and the jingle it makes when turning it off is loud & annoying to co-workers. I usually turn it off when I leave, but was wondering if it would hurt the circuitry if I just left it turned on and plugged into a charger?”

Not unless you want to degrade the battery faster and render the product useless ! Turn the volume down.
