“Is there a problem with the power button if it does not smoothly slide to the left ON position? Of course I"m still charging it for the first time. . .would that be the reason why it won't slide to the ON position?”

Not sure why, I have two and they both slide smoothly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have never had a problem. It works great. Check your buttons. If it doesn't slide easily take it back. Mine works great. Great sound. I do charge mine with usb cord and bought adaptor to charge from surge protector instead of tablet. Charges faster that way
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If your speaker will not let you move the power button left to turn it on, I would say there is an issue. I had my speaker powered on and playing while it was charging the first day.
