You may be overdriving the speaker, check the volume of the source. You can attempt to find the best sound by changing the volume levels of either your Bose Speaker or audio source to revolve this issue. There is an outside chance that you may have blown the speaker, which usually is a result of sending distortion to the speaker, typically at high volume levels.
