If your TV has Bluetooth capabilities which I doubt it has, you can use it. The speaker does not come with any wire to attach it with your TV, so the only way to use it is via Bluetooth.

If your tv has the ability to connect Bluetooth it may be of some good use if you wanted to set the speaker next to you, otherwise I'm not sure you would gain anything in terms of sound quality
