- Answer This CD player does not have a speaker so it does not play out loud. You must connect headphones or speakers to it.

QuestionFor external speakers, does it have to go though an amplifier or can it plug directly into wired speakers? I know it would require mini plug and phono plug cable hardware. Also, will it shut off after playing or does just the disk stop?

- Answer I connect my external speakers to my Insignia FM tuner CD/MP3 player directly using the speaker cable connection. There's a hole on the front of the player for the speaker cable to plug into. The hole is marked 'Line Out'. That's all.

- Answer You have a 1/8" RCA output. Not sure you can input that to your phone without a signal interface or adaptor cable.
