Generally speaking, use a software program that will convert the MP3s you download into the cda format. I use both Ashampoo Burning Studio and CDBurnerXP, both of which are free. In Ashampoo, be sure to select the "Create an audio disc" option, NOT the "Create an MP3 or WMA disc" option.

Further, I would not buy this CD-MP3 player again given batteries I use quickly are idenfied as “low” and only when using DC current does the device reliably and continuously play the audiobook CDs I have. I have used a Sony CD player for years w/o problems until it recently died. ☹️

Do not plug the cable into an amplifier PHONE jack.
