Weekly I spritz a mix of water and 10% bleach. Let sit for a few mins and wipe out with paper towels or microfiber cloths. Monthly i run bleach solution {about 1/2 cup in a liter of water) thru the ice maker disposing of the ice ofc. Then I run a liter of plain water to thoroughly rinse it disposing of the ice. Then its good to go. Mine seems to do fine with it and smells and looks fresh and clean

Clean the ice maker at least once a week or every three days if your water quality is poor. Do not use bleach or vinegar to clean the internal components.
