Honestly I feel it would take an awfully long time for a 1 car garage to get heated. Although the highest setting is quite hot the velocity and force of the blowing air is not that impressive...

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It would depend on how ventilated the garage is. If it's sealed up fairly tight I imagine it would. I use it in my bathroom on low with the door closed and it gets almost to warm. Even when I used it in my bedroom, it warmed the whole room up and there was an open doorway. For a 1400 watt heater it does a good job. If it's freezing outside might make a impact on how warm it gets in the garage. If you want to just heat up where your working it should be fine in 32 degree weather.
