I went to direct TV's remote code lookup to check for a code for an older model RC24 remote to use with my new TV and it let me know that there were no codes for it, but I could go through codes one by one which for me is too much of a problem. Google "diectv remote codes", choose remote model, enter your TV brand and that is how I did it, but you can optionally enter the TV model too.
