The base unit sits near your TV and plugs into the wall. The only other connection if from "TV out" into the base station. Depending on your TV, the connections is either the old reliable RCA jacks (think your old hi-fi system connections) or the much newer digital optical cable that only the newest TV are likely to have. That's it. Should not be too hard
