• I have a smart Sony TV. It does permit simultaneous audio from headphone jack and the TV. I do not know about other TV brands. Here is a link from Sony on the instructions: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00049501

• Hi! This will depend on the TV that you have. Some TVs allow you to select the speakers, headphones or both, but some other TVs will turn off the speakers automatically once you connect headphones to it. • You can do it but you will only get sound over the headphones while they are in use.
