The Insignia™ - SATA to USB-C Adapter for 2.5” SATA Drives is designed specifically for 2.5" SATA drives and is not compatible with M.2 2280 SATA III NGFF SSDs like the ADATA AXNS381E-128GM-B. For your ADATA M.2 SSD, you would need an M.2 to USB adapter or enclosure that supports the M.2 form factor. -Ed | Insignia Support | https://www.bestbuy.com/site/brands/best-buy-brands/pcmcat1596746025285.c?id=pcmcat1596746025285
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So far ive only used it on sata ssd drives for m.2 nvme i use the insignia usb c case adapter m.2 slides in cover closes over it now you have a flash drive or use as external higher speed hard drive i have a wd black 500gb in mine but adapter also worked well with my patriot 128gb m.2 as well my wdblack is also 2280 so i would go with that one not this on as i believe it will only work with 2.5"sata (wired) drives the i think if you search nvme usb adapter it should show up and not a big price difference for a more positve fit
