Yes. I have had no issues with it horizontally.

Yes, it attaches to the left hand side of the console and wraps over the top of it.

I bought the product because of this question and it's answer. Just know that the instructions for this product says to not do it this way. Not sure why and I'm still gonna.

Yes. Might be a little more awkward. And if not careful could damage the USB port. Vertically is best!
