QuestionCan this be used to power a laptop via usbMy power receptacle on my computer is broken. Is there a way to plug in my computer by using the usb port. Batteries work but they only work for a limited time and without power they do not recharge. I could also use a unit which will recharge a battery in a computer by using the USB port rather than the power receptacle. My laptop is a dell Inspiron 17

- Answer I can not see how. USB operates on 5 volts. Most all chargers for laptops operate at higher voltages.

- Answer Yes it has 100v to 240v AC. I'm using it as well for my toshiba Satellite although i don't recall the model but it fits most current toshiba laptops.
