“Is there a way to "fine tune" the volume steps? There is too great a volume change when only moving one increment on the remote volume control. PLEASE HELP, PS: I'm using an OTA TIVO box remote to control on/off, volume and all other TV functions.”

We use the TV remote to fine tune the volume the TV puts out. We connected the bar to the TV's headphone jack, so we get a hiss when the bar volume is high and the TV volume is low or muted. We just keep the bar volume set to a place where there is no, or minimal, hiss when the TV Volume is low or muted. It works great for us. I guess you could do the same using the TIVO remote.
