“Could this device be used as a "center speaker" with TV audio output connected to a receiver/amp, which has Surround Sound with output through RCA jacks. I have an older "home theater" set-up with Sony equipment conected to Advent "Eternity" Spkrs.”

why would you even want to try and hook up a powered speaker to an amp??? this is a sound bar not a center channel speaker
