• A:Answer That's how i have them connected-old Tower computer (lol). One sits on top of the tower and the other is at full extension beside/behind my monitor. Sound is pretty good. Volume is adjustable.

• A:Answer No. They are powered, and one feeds the second one, so they need to work together. Now, its possible they could work and a reduced volume, but I never tried it.
