As long as you have a usb port and your settings will allow you to add additional monitors there should not be an issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as your imac can support two monitors and has usb 3.0 ports it should, I would check those two things out first I have a 2014 macbook air running mojave, and just got it up and running after an hour or so of searching the internet. I'll save you my pain. If everything is compatible and you buy it and it is not working. 1. Go to https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/macos to make sure you have the latest driver for your OS. The insignia download from their site did not give me the latest displaylink driver. If it is still not working 2. Go to system preferences > security & privacy and make sure that the privacy settings are not blocking the use of the device or software. It sounds like ever since the Sierra update, the OS needs permission for this contraption to operate. It is a very simple solution that was way too hard to find. It is terribly un-karl farbman-like that no one mentions this issue as I see a lot of mac people have given up and returned the product. I almost didn't purchase it because of the mac user reviews. Now that I got it working, I am completely happy so far. I haven't noticed any of the lag which other apple users have mentioned. Good Luck!
