A:AnswerI don't have a direct answer. A recent experience left me with more troubling results. Regardless of age or cost, some laptops have a shared architecture that means, USB, audio, video are all shared on the buss. For a normal person, this is fine and goes unnoticed. When you want to expand your viewing area, take note, if your MAX resolution is stated, this can be the maximum resolution your PC is capable of, regardless of adapters or converters. IE - your PC has a max resolution capable of 2560x1440, this is the most pixels that can be displayed, on a single screen, or split between 2 or even 3 screens. So, you may want to do some reading before you make a purchase.
A:AnswerIf you're trying to use this as an HDMI input to your TV, then no. If you have a different HDMI port on your TV that does work, you could get an HDMI switch to connect multiple HDMI devices into a single port on your TV.
A:AnswerI have this exact questions - any help please? Can this be used to connect an external camera to my computer and using something like OBS do live streaming in Youtube?
A:AnswerHi, COB.
I appreciate the time you took to share this inquiry with us. This Adapter works to connect computers without HDMI ports to an external monitor or TV. Now, if your laptop has an HDMI output you can connect it with the HDMI to a TV or a monitor that has the same type of input, with no need of an adapter.
