The aux is an input. For an output, go out of the headphone jack.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, its actually an input to the table radio. Get an adapter cable to hook to the headphone jack, and hook up the other end to a receiver.

As a sound bar, join your phone to this with a dollar-store "AUX" cord, the same-labeled 1/8" jack on the back. Or, a nice Dock, even from the old, discontinued iPod, will sound better than the clock-radio-grade pair of speakers in this Insignia...it's the same AUX cord, but inserted to the side of this Insignia radio, where the horseshoe symbol for headphones is printed. At this price, no BluTooth cordless, but the cord method is cheap, reliable and works always. Same advise as a phone dock for a wireless rechargeable speaker: there's going to be an AUX jack somewhere on that speaker.
