“Are there holes to route and neatly manage wires for things like cable box and blue ray player?”

Yes there are "holes" in the back. They aren't truly holes but openings in each cabinet and two in center cabinet.

Yea it does have holes. I put my surge protected outlet inside the cabinet and routed all other devices through the holes to plug them in.

Both cabinets and the top and bottom shelf have openings. The middle open shelf does not have an opening.

YES! The cutouts are positioned really well and the shelves have room for cords to go behind them. It's a really great setup.
