Yes, it lets the tv swivel, my 75” tv gets about 10-20 degrees left and right, and I can tilt it downward a bit as well, but for viewing, I have it set straight on, the left and right turning will just depend on tv size and how close to the wall the entire unit is. For question 3, the unit has (if I remember correctly) 3-4 different heights you can put the mount on based on your tv size and desired height. On top of that, the actual mount (the part that screws in to the tv) has quite a bit of adjustability. Lastly question 2, if you had a few extra sets of hands, could you make height adjustments while it was all together, yes likely, it just depends. I do not think you could make adjustments to the overall height by yourself with the tv mounted, too many moving parts. That said, with a friend I think it’s more than manageable
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.(1) Neither the top shelf nor the rear mounting rail swivel. If you just stand the TV on the top shelf instead of suspending it on the rear mounting rail, you could turn the TV a bit to either side. (2) You'd be best to remove the TV from the mounting rail before adjusting the height, because of the weight of the TV - you can't just slide it up & down. (3) The distance from floor to top of the top shelf is 22 inches. If you stand the TV directly on the top shelf instead of up on the rail, the distance from floor to the bottom of the TV screen is 25-1/2 inches - may vary depending on the height of your TVs foot; ours is about 3-1/2 inches high.
