The Insignia™ TV Stand for Most TVs Up to 55” has vertical supports that are recessed approximately 1 inch from the front edge of the shelves. The second shelf has dimensions of approximately 21.7 inches wide, 14.9 inches deep, and 8.7 inches high. Given these dimensions, the second shelf should be able to accommodate a sound bar that is 5 inches deep and 28 inches wide. However, you might need to ensure that the vertical supports do not interfere with the placement of the sound bar.
